7 Steps to Beautiful Glowing Skin from the Outside

We all yearn for youthful-looking glowing skin. However, we often do not realize that to have that kind of skin, we truly need to take care of it. Our skin is our body's largest organ yet we often overlook the importance of looking after it.

Radiant, glowing skin is a reflection of good health. We can achieve that by the right skincare routine combined with skin-loving nutrition and lifestyle practices. The good news is that no matter how old you are, what the state of your skin is, and what you do, you can always start to nourish your skin from the outside as well as from the inside to achieve the skin of your dreams.

Beautiful glowing skin starts on the inside with the right nutrition and lifestyle. We will be talking about it in the next article. However, radiant skin is enhanced with good-quality natural skincare products and that’s why we are giving you our top 7 steps to achieve that beautiful glowing skin by taking care of it from the outside.

1. Use all-natural, organic products

When it comes to food, if you avoid processed foods containing preservatives, stabilizers, artificial sweeteners, and filler ingredients and nourish your body with the nutrients it needs, you have more energy, feel better and look better. The same applies to your skin. If you're using conventional skincare products full of harsh chemicals, fragrances, parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, and silicones, it is going to have a negative impact on your skin quality and appearance resulting in your skin being irritated or looking dull.

Natural, organic skincare nourishes your skin from the outside leading to naturally beautiful-looking skin. And as a bonus, it is friendlier to the environment and does not harm animals.

2. Cleanse and tone your skin every day

Your skin cannot glow unless you clean and tone it. Gone are the days when we were too lazy to cleanse our skin. To have healthy skin, you need to cleanse it every night, with no exceptions. Cleansing your skin removes the make-up, dirt, and other environmental toxins that end up on our skin. Ideally, use the cleanser both in the morning and the evening for the best results.

In addition to cleanser, use a toner. A toner removes excess dirt and balances the pH of your skin. It also allows serums and other products to penetrate deeper into your skin so that you get the most benefits out of your skincare products.

3. Exfoliate

Proper exfoliation is a crucial step towards bright glowing skin. Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells on the skin’s surface resulting in clearer and glowing skin. Without exfoliation, your skin is going to be dull-looking and the dead skin cells are going to be blocking the absorption of all other products.

Use our Seaweed Microderm Cleanser + Mask as a physical exfoliant two to three times a week for the best results.

4. Use products with Vitamin C

Vitamin C is one of the best ingredients for brightening your skin. It’s a natural antioxidant that brightens your skin by blocking the enzyme melanin that produces pigment. We recommend applying Vitamin C serum every morning after cleansing and toning your skin and before applying a moisturizer. ALWAYS follow with sunscreen because Vitamin C makes your skin more sensitive (but even without applying Vitamin C you should use sunscreen — see point 7). Combine our Kakadu Plum Vitamin C Serum with our Kakadu Plum Vitamin C Day Cream for the glowiest skin.

5. Hydrate

Proper hydration is a key for glowing, youthful skin. It prevents fine lines, reduces pigmentation, and gives your skin a natural glow. Even if you have oily skin, use moisturizer. Use good quality moisture (like our Kakadu Plum Vitamin C Day Cream and Amla Night + Eye Cream) twice a day, in the morning and evening.

6. Use sunscreen every day

If you follow all the steps but don’t use sunscreen, then good luck in getting glowing skin because sunscreen helps your skin stay young-looking and radiant.

Exposure to the sun unfortunately not only leads to tanned skin we all love (at least when we don’t burn), but also to dullness, burns, fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, and even cancer. UV rays can suck the glow out of your skin. Even if it is cloudy outside, you should use sunscreen (ideally at least SPF 50) if you want youthful skin.

7. Try Face Massage

Practicing face massage with your hands, a jade roller or a Gua Sha after you apply your regular products may help them to penetrate into your skin and eliminate toxins leading to a healthy glow. Proper facial massage also tightens and de-puffs your skin.

Remember that when it comes to beautiful skin consistency is key. Follow these steps every day (except for the exfoliation which should be done 2-3 times a week). Keep posted on our tips for glowing skin from the inside!
